Hey, Saw your brother perform last night in Washington, NC. Great program and what a wonderful guy. Loved Woody too. He jokingly asked the audience to send you an e-mail. Too cute . See the love. Thought I'd go and send a message. Go Beethoven

Dear Nanette, Your video and story filled my heart with joy! After seeing you at the Crandall's celebration of Patsy I have thought of you often. Your courage and character are inspirational. My memories of you and your music are cherished . Billy was that awe inspiring older brother and the warmth of your Silvermine Acres home and your folks kindness will long be remembered by me. I send you all of my love and best wishes on this next phase of your creative life! Know that I will always be your friend. Jeff

Hi Nanette, I listened to the recordings of your new songs, all are great! I am especially partial to "You Can Find That Room", very catchy and very well arranged. The singer is excellent, she has an amazing range and has done your songs justice. However, I might add that you were just as good (if not better!) in your day, both singing and accompanying yourself on the piano. And although I know that your life has taken a turn that cannot take you back to that time and place, I hope that whoever listens to the recordings of your new songs also listens to the recordings of YOU in the past. What you have accomplished since your hearing loss is truly amazing but it is your natural musical talent and creativity that has led you to this point and one cannot fully appreciate that until one has heard how talented you were and how truly devastating it must have been to lose that. I give you a tremendous amount of credit for your persistence and tenacity, you are a very determined woman and I wish you all the best in your future musical endeavors. Rosemary

Hi Rosemary ! Thank you so much for all your encouragement! It's always fun to hear that someone went to the website and listened! I'm going in a new direction now and am producing music for people with hearing loss. I think I can make it clearer for them and I am going to present my stuff at a hearing loss convention in June. I suppose if HIlary Clinton can put herself on the line all the time with a chance of losing, I guess we can too, what the heck. How is music going on your end? Nanette

Dear Nanette, I was blessed to go to high school with you and your brother, and was awestruck by your talent when I heard you sing back then for the album we recorded. Recently I was befriended by William, whom we called "Billy" back then, and was astounded and moved beyond words by your breathtaking "Beethoven and Me," song/composition. You were truly killing me softly. You sang my life, in your words. I too grew up playing music (organ) under a huge sculpture of Beethoven my mother adored, was progressively deaf, and am now legally deaf with only 15% hearing in my right ear. I was a professional church organist, until hearing loss made it too difficult to work with the soloists and choir. Like you, I have taken up music again, playing guitar since I can remember music in my head and feel the vibrations. Nanette, I applaud you and celebrate your spirit and your living your life to its fullest. Bravo!! And thank you. You are incredibly gifted, and your music makes life richer for us all. Hugs to you, your brother, and Woody too! Michele Duffee (and for 43 years almost now, Verhoosky)
